About

Sri Lalita is a yoga teacher and Ayurvedic educator in the San Francisco Bay area. In her teen years, she found her true love: yoga. She’s been in a swoon ever since!

Yoga

A yoga teacher for the past nine years, her practice is based on traditional, nondual tantric Adi-Yoga, meditation and ritual under her teacher,  Dharmanidhi Sarasvati. Sri received her most recent teaching certificate from him at Yoga Mandala in 2004. Prior to that, she was certified at Om Yoga Center in NYC in 2001 and studied Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Iyengar with various teachers.

Ayurveda, Herbs and Natural Therapies

Sri apprenticed at Berkeley Ayurveda clinic with Dharmanidhi for five years. She has studied Ayurveda– including herbs and traditional diagnostics such as pulse and tongue–chiefly with Dharmanidhi Sarasvati and Mike Dick. Prior to that she studied Shiatsu, Thai massage and Tui Na at San Francisco School of Massage. Currently, Sri is studying herbalism with Michael Tierra, LAc. Her education about healing using food as medicine is strongly shaped by her studies with Nam Singh and Liu Ming.

Thanks

…to my revered teachers for *everything* (especially Dharmanidhi-ji, of course)…to Sasi for helping put this website together…to Kelly Conley for the pretty, hand-rendered images and print design…to Nancy ‘Sruti’ Rothstein for photography…
